RE: No interpretation of data ! datatype equivalent to RAW datatype

With character datatypes in DB2 you can use FOR BIT DATA Clause. This should achieve the results you want.

Subject: No interpretation of data ! datatype equivalent to RAW datatype

Hi All,

Is there a datatype in DB2 that does not try to interpret data when it is
moved from one system ?
Within the Oracle RDBMS Oracle will not perform character set conversions on
RAW data when it is moved from one system (based, for example, on 7-bit
ASCII) to another system

Can this be achieved with DB2 as well ! Is there a datatype equivalent to
RAW datatype of Oracle ?

Regards,
Ekta
