I tried using db2licm to all the license for several days, including
re-installing DB2 more than once. I was only successful when I used the
Control Center to add the license.

How do we enable License for Database Partitioning Feature for V8.2 on
Unix/Linux? What does file /var/.../nodelock contain?

When I try to apply license db2licm it gives following error:

# ./db2licm -a db2ese_dpf.lic
DBI1416N The license could not be added to the nodelock file
automatically.

Explanation:

The return code is -110.

User Response:

Please ensure the license certificate is readable. You may also enter
the license into the nodelock file manually. Please see the license
file for instructions.
