Hello DBA's,

What is DB2 Fault Monitor?
I come to know that because of DB2 Fault Monitor many
db2sysc processes has started in DB2 instance and
occuping large amount of memory.

What are the effects of deactivating DB2 Fault
Monitor?

There is one entry in /etc/inittab file which start
this process automatically.

I am using DB2 8.2 on Solaris 8.
