Hi All,
Thanx for the many suggestions, but I have managed to get it to work.
All I did was drop and recreate the contrainer and then give it some
time to do something in the background. Don't what, but when I ran the
restore again, it worked!! :)

Hi,
Try to find an answer in the db2diag.log. Usually, with this type of a
problem you will get some kind of message there associated with Data
Protection.
I had a similar problem few times.

Hi,
Yes, I know this. The systems match identically. I have done these
restores many times before. As I said usually when this happens I
do/check the following:
- Check if the containers exist
- Untag using db2untag the containers
- Make sure permissions are correct
- drop and re-create the containers..
I have done all of the above and still get error C11E!!

P.S. I know the system is outdated, but try telling that to
management!!!

You either need to have ALL the file systems (including the catalog)
exactly the same on the new system or do a re-directed restore to the
new system.
db2 5.2 is completely out of support.

AM Restore of DB2
Hi,
I am trying to restore my production daatabase onto my test system. I am
coming up with the following error:
C11E - Container not accessible.
Usually, this is because the container doesn't exists or is tagged as
being in use. I have checked the container, dropped and recreated it as
well as untagged it a number of times. Permissions are correct and I am
logged onto the AIX system using the DB administrator user and password.
Can anyone please suggest what could be wrong?
By the way, the version is Db2 5.2. running on AIX
thanx
meshal
