That will generally happened :

Network issues
Coming & going , or check your work stations , is there any network issues

Instance may down

Check with your DBA


Kondal ,If not even connected , that is instance setup. In this case , need
to check as above.

If you are seeing this once in a while then it's firewall issue and you
need to work with network admins to run network trace route to fix the
problem, otherwise check your DB2COMM registry variable and make sure
you have cataloged NODE and Database correctly.

Connectivity issue with Db2 Database. Frequently loosing the connection.
Following is the error msg i get when i tried to connect to the database

SQL30081N A communication error has been detected. Communication
protocol being used: "TCP/IP". Communication API being used: "SOCKETS".
Location where the error was detected: "". Communication function
detecting the error: "connect". Protocol specific error code(s):
"10061", "*", "*". SQLSTATE=08001

Will, anybody let me know what could be the problem.
