Why need to restore , after migration ???? for FP 6 to 10 ?????

I would choose option (1).
Also I wouldn't worry about applying FP10 on the source unless you find a
backup APAR in the list of APARs fixed.
Remember to run db2updv8 after the restore is done to pick up new routines
and catalog changes.
Also if you use SQL Procedures I recommend dropping and recreating them all
since DB2 V8.2 (FP7) eliminated the C-Compiler.
If there are problems you want to know about them now and not puzzle in 6
months when the app developer decides to refresh the procs.
