RE: restore

RE: restore

That doesn't work , both version of source & target should be same .

Other 2 ways

1 upgarde source instance to db2 v8.2
2 db2look , export , import/load based on data volumes

Subject: restore

I have an image backup from a v8.1 database and am trying to restore to a
new installation of v8.2. Attempting from the command line on a Windows
machine.

I am executing >db2 restore db database-name from C:\back-ups taken at
20050824023018

The image exists in the path specified in the command, and was verified
using db2ckbkp. I also created the database first from the Control Center
with the same name/alias as the image I am trying to restore from.

I keep getting SQL2542N No match for a database image file was found based
on the source database alias "database-name" and timestamp "20050824023018"
provided.

This timestamp is the same returned from the db2ckbkp.

Any help is appreciated!
