RE: Writing db2 procedures in cobol

RE: Writing db2 procedures in cobol

'Fraid not. In maintenance departments, you will find the Cobollers doing their jobs. Often for multiple companies.
Writing (and maintaining) is, on paper, my job. In practice, it amounts to 20% of my time - tops.
But do not underestimate the staying power of Cobol.

Mind you: I am not exactly a Cobol-lover. But (no sarcasm!) I have done some amazing things with it.
Rob.

I hope that I'm just missing the sarcasm here.
If not: How many years is it that you tried to hire someone? These days
it's hard to get good C/C++ skills. COBOL? You gotta be kidding.

Cheers
Serge
