RE: Compressed Backups

RE: Compressed Backups

We just use the defaults and have not used the complib statement.

As a matter of fact, we just finished doing a backup with a redirect to
a different mass storage unit and it worked just fine.

Hope you find y our answer.

Ken

Subject: Compressed Backups

I know that you can compress Backups since one of the V8 FixPaks. I
have successfully used it in at least two DB2 UDB V8 environments. I am
currently running on a Sun Solaris server and when I code a BACKUP...
COMPRESS I receive a SQL2072N Unable to bind the shared library error
message.

I believe I need to code a COMPRLIB value, but I don't remember which
library to use. Can anyone help?

Thanks, Hal
