Memory leaks between SQL*Server and UDB with IBM OLE DB driver

Memory leaks between SQL*Server and UDB with IBM OLE DB driver

When calling UDB on Linux (v8.2 fixpack 7) from a SQL*Server db (2000
sp4) using the IBM OLE DB driver. We see a memory leak on SQL*Server and
very slow heterogeneous join responses. We see the memory leak on
SQL*Server whether we do a query from Query Analyzer, or create a view
in SQL*Server that references the remote UDB database.

It has been suggested that some of the connect string values might be
altered to remedy this.

Does anyone know specifically what the problem root is? I expect IBM to
be willing and able to query a remote udb instance using their own OLE
DB driver without there being a memory leak. I have found it difficult
in the past to find any reliable information on the connection string
parameters and what they do.
