RE: Create database in subdirectory on Windows

You could try the DOS SUBST command instead of the network share
approach.

Detail at http://www.computerhope.com/substhlp.htm if you need them.

I am not sure if it is persistent across a reboot so you may need it in
the autoexec.bat.

Cheers
Mike

Subject: Create database in subdirectory on Windows

I have a need to create a database using UDB 7.2 FP 4 on Windows 2000.
Rather than allowing the database to be created under the 'normal'
directory
structure, (c:\db2) I want to hang it under another subdirectory
(c:\special\db2). The create database syntax only allows for a drive
letter
for the 'ON' clause and I was wondering if there was some other way to
get
this database where I want it, short of creating a network share to the
path
I want and specifying that as my ON drive.

Thanx,
