Re: starting an instance on a Solaris server

Re: starting an instance on a Solaris server

When the server reboots looking in the /tmp/db2istrt.log I can see:

Sun Nov 20 11:40:56 GMT 2005
Starting DB2 Instance db2wsiu...
SQL1063N DB2START processing was successful.

However the instance I want started (db2gi1iu) from the logs does not
appear to be started.

Why would an instance not be started?

Hello,
I have a UDB DB2 v8.1 instance running on a Sun Solaris 5.8 system.

The company policy is to reboot the server on a weekly basis.

How do I configure the DB2 instance to restart post recycle of the UNIX
server?

To which file is the start up of the DB2 instance logged?

I want to know at what time the instance is started since I have another
application that depends upon the databases being up and running before it
is started (it is a WebSphere 5.1 application server).
