Hi
To rename the database you can use any of the following options
1) Use db2relocatedb and specifiy the new name in config file. You have to retart the instance once this is done.
2) Use restore database using INTO clause. and provide the new name.
You can restore specific tablespaces if archive logging (logretain) is enabled.

Subject: Help needed..
Hi,
I am a new bee to Db2; I want to rename the database and then want to do
the restore operation on it. For restoring the database, I want to
select only "SYSCATSPACE" of Tablespaces and full Archived Logs. Is it
possible to take the restore?
Thanks in advance.
Saroj
