RE: can db backup from 64bits be restored to 32 bit instance

Topical question for me, I was just this minute wondering if we can go
the other way i.e. 32-bit backup or 'db2move' -> 64-bit ?

Subject: can db backup from 64bits be restored to 32 bit instance

OS: AIX5.3
UDB 8.1 FP9

If I have a instance of 64bits and another 32bits .
Can I take the database backup from 64bits and restore it to 32bits
instance ?

If the 64 bits db has larger bufferpools and db cfg than the 32 bits can

handle.
What will happen during the restore ? Will DB2 default to the minimum
configurations ?

Thanks !
