Is this AIX and a local database ? and do you have many connections on one
instance id? its a shared memory segment per id thing.
If so , try cataloging the database as remote:
ie catalog a tcpip node
catalog database xxxx as yyyyy at node zzzz authentication server
and then connect to yyyyy and do your work.

SQL1224N A database agent could not
be started to service a request.
SQLSTATE=55032
Hello friends
When inserting large amounts of data, after couple of minutes I get the
below error.
In db2diag.log I can see, the increasing msgmni and shmmax settings and
after that can see the log that says 'failed to connect' my database.
Any clues will greatly help.
SQL1224N A database agent could not be started to service a request, or was
terminated as a result of a database system shutdown or a force command.
SQLSTATE=55032
Regards
Suresh
