This is not related to any specific problem.
In general, we make statements like a reorg or runstats or a particular
design change or creation of index increases performance. But we really
dont have anyway to measure that.
a) Is there any standard way of measuring the current performance of
database?
b) Is there anyway we can estimate the performance improvement before
implementing a particular change?
c) Is there anyway we can cross check how close our estimate was after the
change is done?
