Subject: MySQL restore fails

Hi, yes, probably the wrong place to put this, but FWIW, I have a MySQL
5.0.22 database backed up on one server, got a new server, made on online
backup, trying to restore using MySQL administrator from remote host, it
says server went away. Tried to restore on the actual server, it says
connection was closed. How can I solve this? Any help would be appreciated
