Yes. In fact, SAP strongly recommends switching the contents of
the temporary tablespace to PERMANENT, which I do not follow.

Anybody in the list followed this recommendation from SAP?

Just something to trick u guys up ... CAN A TEMPORARY TABLESPACE BE
PERMANENT? Or is that a wrong question where the questioner means can u
create tables in temporary tablespaces ... ??? If users are not assigned
temporary tablespace, what tablespace is used for sorting, SYSTEM?
