hi Edwin,

there should be alteast one temporary (nature is temporary not the name of tbs) tbs present, then only you can change existing one..

you can play with temp to permenant and vice versa if other temporary exists..

assume that i have four tbs in my db, sys, user (permenant), user1(permentant) and temp (temporary)

i have created the user bb with default tbs as user and temp tbs user1
the i logged as bb and created user aa with
create user aa identified by aa (here aa will get created but will not be able to log) then 'aa' will have the default tbs and temp tbs as that of bb

additionly he will have one more tbs temp
