I have found that the DBCA (database creation assistnat) does a goo job of
this in 8i and 9i. maually make sure you delete all of the files listed in
dba_data_files and v$log_files as well as those pointed at by the
initialization parameters CONTROL_FILES and LOG_ARCHIVE_DEST. Don't forget
tnsnames.ora, listener.ora and oratab on UNIX.
