Sudhakar:
I don't think you do that.
You probably have to use exp/imp.

Subject: Can I move datafiles from UFS onto a Unix raw device

Hi,
I have 3 datafiles (xxx.dbf) on a Unix file system. Now I got to relocate
them to a new raw device. Is there a easy way I can do that other than
dropping and recreating the schema objects residing on those datafiles.

thanks
