I don't think there is much issue in moving to different OS , you just have to learn some commands and about environment variables, and slowly with time you will get comfortable with it.

Hi Guys

I am New to Oracle on Linux . i had good experiance on Oracle with
Windows 2000 Server my point of concern is know we are migrating to
Linux well can you please tell me if you are a oracle dba how much it
will effect if you change
you O/S and if i migrate to linux what i need to learn in linux . what
kind of activity i had to do on Linux for example copying files from os
starting services from linux what others are there can anyone please
forward my the link of any side or name of
any good book that will give me complete information and give me as much
information that i will able to handle all oracle dba activitys on linux
with ease. and Oracle on linux or Unix dbas if you can share your
experiance with me that what i need to know on Linux or Unix that will
me really helpfull for me.
