Devender,
We've been a dual OS shop for a long time. (Some Oracle on Unix, some on Windows. Now we're looking at some Linux and some Windows.) Shifting to Linux from Unix is very easy. Shifting from Windows to Linux will take learning some shell scripting and some getting used to, but you'll find that some things are significantly easier, especially remote administration and diagnosing problems. Point and click is nice until it doesn't do what it's supposed to.
There is one potential problem to watch for if you have a lot of applications written with Microsoft tools. We've occasionally migrated databases from Unix to Windows and found that ASP's that ran fine against an Oracle 8.1.7 database on Windows do not run properly when the 8.1.7 database is on Unix. That is not supposed to happen, but it does. I've never really found out why, but it seems to have something to do with buffer sizes because the most common problem is with web form fields longer than 1000 characters. Shortening the fields solves the problem. There aren't too many problems moving applications, but it's always a good idea to test.
