Recommendation:

We are running an import of a very large DB (40GB compressed export file)
from a compressed dmp file

zcat x.z> pipe&
imp file =pipe

The import is working (tables being loaded) but the pipe is growing very
large in size as if the import is running slower than the import.

Eventually the imp zcat abends when the pipe file system runs out of space.

Anyone have this experience or suggest a way to correct ?
