Are u using UNIX or windows. If UNIX, u can write down shell script to
delete all archived files , may be say, 10 days older.
find <complete path> -type f -mtime +<no of days older than
like 5> -name
\*.arc -print -exec rm {} \;
Replace text within < > with your values.

highlight the old files, and press the Delete key on the keyboard. Make

I am trying to take a cold backup by copying the relevant files.
The DBF files are of size 5GB/4GB.. but while copying via
network from one
machine to another ...I am getting a network error and hence
cant copy the
files.
Can anyone of you, suggest a method for copying these files (of this
size).
