RE: compress parameter in export

RE: compress parameter in export

Hi,

My undestanding is that if you export a segment with compress = yes, all the segment will be concatenated into one single extent, despite of the several extents that may exist in the source segment.

Sometimes this causes problems, as it is not possible to gather contigous free space in the target tablespace, to store the entire segment.

Regards,

AM
