RE: SGA size - Urgent

RE: SGA size - Urgent

Are you running 10g? I read somewhere that the 2GB limit was gone on 10g on
windows, but I can't find anything else to verify that. If that is truly
the case, I'll spend a little money and move my new server up to 8GB!

Thanks,
Mark

Subject: SGA size - Urgent

Good morning,

I always thought that SGA size is limit to 2G in all kind of
servers.
Also I thought that 3G or 4G options for SGA size are general
options
After reading notes 46001.1 and 116076.1 which refers to Windows
only, I 'm
getting confused
Question:
1. Is there a limit to SGA size on Sun Solaris or HP machine
2. Does the 3G and 4G option for SGA size are available outside of
Windows
machines

TIA
regards
