Certainly. Automatic UNDO management reduces the likelihood of an
ORA-01555, but does not eliminate it.

If you set undo_retention to less than the length of your longest query, you
can get an ORA-01555 error. If your UNDO tablespace is too small to
accommodate all the undo generated during that query, you can also get an
ORA-01555.
