RE: Patchset 9.2.0.5 Urgent

RE: Patchset 9.2.0.5 Urgent

First thing I would try is to take some sample queries and run explain
plans on them. Don't forget to re-run the
$ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/admin/utlxplan.sql in your DB's as they have changed
from earlier version. Verify that your explain plans haven't changed
from the earlier release. Also , you might want to check out some
articles on dbms_stats. They have changed from the earlier versions and
behave differently. I had to re-run my dbms_stats scripts when I
upgraded my development/qa databases when going to 9.2.0.5.

Good Luck

Subject: Patchset 9.2.0.5 Urgent

Dear DBAs,

We have applied patchset Oracle 9.2.0.5 onto our DB Server. The
application
is also using another database in 9.2.0.5. It has become very slow since
the application of patchset. Can anyone have any idea what is wrong?

Kindly mail me it is a production database issue.

Thanks in advance.
