RE: DB Parameter required for Streams

RE: DB Parameter required for Streams

It all depends on what you want to do and what platform you are working
on. Please insure you are running the 'Mega-Patch' for streams(9.2.0.4)
or ideally upgrade to 9.2.0.5 first then concern yourself with
streams...Let me know what platform you are on and if its Solaris I can
definitely help. Also it helps to know how many processors you have and
how much memory are on the servers. And last but not least what is your
guestimated rate of change in your source...

Currently running 9.2.0.4+(mega-patch) sun-Solaris 8,
8cpu/16GB(source)=>4cpu/16GB(target), transactions 500-900/minute, 24x7
operation

Subject: DB Parameter required for Streams

Hi,

We are in the process of configuring Oracle Streams to capture changes
from OLTP application running on Oracle 9.2.0.3 to the Data warehouse
application running on Oracle 9.2.0.4

We are encountering various issues with the configuration of Streams.
Can anyone send across what are all the DB parameters to be set in both
Source and Target applications.

Thanks
- Partha
