RE: 9i management server

RE: 9i management server

Michael,

Thanks for the response...

I'd rather just nuke the management server with something like oradim, if that's possible...

as for log output, there is failure followed by apparent success...if that tells you anything....

Before you nuke your install, what does the sysman/log/oem.nohup (or whatever it's called for your install) say?

Hi,

I have reinstalled 9i rel 2 OEM into an existing 9i home and used it's db as a repository...

The repository created with no problem, and the management server seems to start ok from the Services manager, but not from the command line:

C:>oemctl start oms sysman/[Email Address Removed] OracleOraHome922ManagementServer service is starting...............
The OracleOraHome922ManagementServer service could not be started.

The service did not report an error.

More help is available by typing NET HELPMSG 3534.

Is there a way to manually drop and recreate this management server (only) as it appears to be in bad shape?

Best Regards,

Steve
