Hi! Experts,

We are having 8i and 9i servers.
Frequently we will take some data export from 8i (8.1.7.4) and import in
9i (9.2.0.5) server.

We observed that export from 8i and import in the same server 8i is taking
20 minutes. (This includes truncation of tables also)
Where as export from 8i and import in the 9i server is taking 45 minutes.
(This includes truncation of tables also)

System configuration and database configuration and the structure is same.

Can any body give any idea....... how can I reduce the import and
truncation time in 9i server
