Before you go too far down the path, can you explain why you are encrypting
the data and where you will be storing the encryption key? 9 times out of
10, people wanting to encrypt data in their database are either trying to
compensate for things that should be done through database permissions or
are giving themselves a false sense of security by not hiding the key
properly.
