Just for my two cents folks-
I'm very new at this, and have had one online DBA Fund. I class. I was
thrown into the fire during our conversion from PeopleSoft 7.02 to 8.4
performing a dual developer/dba role and believe me, I've learned a lot
by doing, and I realize how much more I don't know, and some I don't
even know how to ask about. I know some sql, some sqr, some perfomance
tuning, basically just enough to get my butt in a wringer! I
appreciate any and all questions that are posted, and all of your
answers. Some work for me, some don't, but as a former teacher, there
really isn't a dumb question, if you don't know, you don't know and it
is always best to ask before doing something that you will regret. You
people out here are a lifeline to some of us. So for all of you, I
appreciate you all, keep asking and please, please keep answering! I'll
take links to documents, anything that helps is good. Ignorance is
bliss, until it slaps you right in the face, and I do have those
bruises.....
thanks!

This topic comes up way more often in the SQL Server list. Haven't seen
it here for quite while. I've always found the Oracle list to be a
friendlier place. And I hope it stays that way.

I am new to the list, but also fairly experienced with both sql server
and oracle. I have some really stupid easy questions sometimes on stuff
I know I looked up previously but just don't have the time at some
points. I think anyone should be able to any level of question without
fear of ridicule. Atleast this is what I am looking for in a list. This
current topic is about to make me look else where again for another dba
group. Just wanted to voice my opinion.
