RE: Purpose of Lazy DBA

RE: Purpose of Lazy DBA

I make more than my share of stupid mistakes, and I have to ask the
simple questions all the time, and I still refer to all of my SQL books
to get my syntax correct. Simple questions need to be asked. But the
RTFM questions are the ones that get me. Take this one, for example, I
just fished out of my outbox from a Unix board.

The question (exact typing - too lazy to read instructions AND to type
out please) -
"plz guide me how to install openwebmail on solaris 9"

My response -
"http://www.openwebmail.org/ is a good start. There are links
to documentation there."

His response (too lazy to punctuate properly, too) -
"plz help me which software i need to run before i install
webmail i am using solaris 9 on intel"

This guy couldn't even take the time to read one paragraph to get to the
README link that has the requirements listed at the top of the f*n
document. I think he wanted someone to click his mouse for him in the
right places. These are the guys that should get laid off first.
