For Linux:

/oracle/u01/app/oracle/product/9.2.0/sqlplus/admin/glogin.sql
Add the entry below:

-- define the default editor
DEFINE_EDITOR =vi

But isn't that just per session? To make it stay with your editor of choice
you need to modify a parm file, can't remember the name of it?

Hi all:

This is probably a very simple question, but I don't even know where
to
look for the answer. When I
am at the SQL> promt and I type ed, how do I define whether the
afiedt.buf
file is being created?

thank you

Gene Gurevich
