Metalink has information you will find nowhere else. The slowness is
not constant, and it is bearable for the wealth of data you *will not*
find through any other source.
15 minutes on meta-link can save hours of time dealing with support.

honestly i stopped using MetaLink long time ago, Oracle should do
something about the slowness of metaLink
