Suhail,
Make sure you haven't got any trace set to on. Oracle sets this to on
automatically and what you want to do if this is not needed, is to turn it
off. Also, check this directory out and make sure you have not got too many
*.dat files; %ORACLE_HOME\otrace\admin.
Hope this helps.
Derek

Subject: URGENT : No Listener
Hi,
My database is Oracle 8.1.7 on Windows 2000 Sever
Today when I tried to connect my application , it gave error "No Listener"
I checked on database server for tnslistener service. It was not started.
I started it...but after 2-3 seconds it again stopped.
I checked windows alert logs..it gives error " unexpectedly terminating the
service"
what could be the reasons ?
Rgds,
Suhail
