RE: Query issue in 9i

RE: Query issue in 9i

Thanks guys for the response

I fixed the issue by rearranging the query. But it is surprising that a
query has different execution plan in 8i and 9i.

Subject: Query issue in 9i

Hi gurus,

I have migrated from 8i to 9i. There is a query which was quite faster in
8i
(1sec) but it became slow in 9i (1 min).
I ran the explain plan. The position value is as follows
in 8i Cost =1846
in 9i Cost = 93241102

pls suggest how to fix this issue

Both have optimizzer_mode set to "choose".
