Try this (in init.ora):

optimizer_index_cost_adj=50
optimizer_index_caching=99

YOu are not the only one with this problem.

WeâEUR(tm)ve seen some differences between 8i and 10g.



WeâEUR(tm)ve got some stmts that in 8i take a fraction of a second to parse and in 10g the same stmt will take 15-20 seconds.



8i env: windows



10g env: HP-ux.



Any idea?
