hi there,
yes!!! you can change the db name in any case after creating
the database
but you should not change the db name after database creation mena say first
db name was DHW and after creation your changing to some thing like DBDHW
then it wont work database will not start

and if you want to do these thing then you need to create controlfile by
create controlfile command
................
