It appears that the message size has a limit. Anyone who wants the
scripts and documents, let me know via e-mail and I'll mail the
attachment directly. P.s. I'll be gone next week.
How do I stop messages for a week so I don't spend a day on them when I
get back?

There are detailed instructions I the *.doc files. The tar file
contains all the scripts mentioned to automate about every step. Some
like recompile you might not have, but you can recompile stuff yourself
anyway. The powerpoint presentation I gave at the user group may help.
See powerpoint presentation at
http://soug.acomp.usf.edu/mettingarchive.php March 2004 meetting.
Between the *.doc, tar scripts, and presentation, I couldn't think of a
more detailed step by step method for upgrading a UNIX installation.
P.S. The maps in the datafiles go at the end of a file when upgrading.
To move them to the beginning as oracle thinks may have some performance
boost, do and export import.
If you like what you see, offer me an improved position :)
