Perhaps a dumb question, but why do you want to shrink it? It'll have to
reallocate extents next time a large sort runs, which will slow performance
(though I can quantify how much w/o testing on your system).

Subject: shrink the temporary tablespace
Hi,
Does anybody know how to shrink the temporary tablespace? It seems that
oracle will not automatically release the space after a long sort
transcation.
I always use the following steps to deal with this problem.
1. create a new temporary tablespace named temp2
2. switch users to temp2 tablespace
3. drop the old temporary tablespace named temp to release the space.
4. recreate the temp tablespace
5. switch users to the temp tablespace.
6. drop the temp2 tablespace.
