RE: 10g RAC listener Issue

RE: 10g RAC listener Issue

shouldn't you be saying: srvctl start -db <dbname> -instance <inst> ...
or srvctl start -db <dbname> ...
The later will start all instances for the db, whereas the former starts
only the specified instance.

Subject: 10g RAC listener Issue

lsnctl status shows no listener running on either node. netca and vipca
fail with a cannont start listener. srvctl stop nodeapps -n racblade1 &
racblade2 shows services stopped. But I get the following. I know I am
doing something wrong, but the question is what? Thanks for your help.

[[Email Address Removed] oracle]$ srvctl start nodeapps -n racblade1
racblade1:ora.racblade1.vip:IP:172.20.1.218 is already up in the network
(host=racblade1)
