Hi all,

Hi I created a new database on a Oracle10g server which already had two
databases out of which one was functional. While executing databse scripts,
system gave me warning that some .dbf files alraedy exists. i tried in both
ways i.e dropping them as well as deleting them. Then when i tried to log on
to sql after deleting those files so that i can again execute the dbase
scripts, it gave error:

ORA 01033- Oracle Initialization or Shut down in Process. Kindly do suggest
me whatto do. Itried to manually run the services of dbconsole and
service_name again, but it did not worked. Kindly suggest what to do. If u
can tell me why it happened and oin what way i should proceed, I'll be
really thankfull to you.
