RE: Instance deletion

RE: Instance deletion

For unix, check the /etc/oratab file. The last parameter in Y or N. Y means
start on boot, N means don't start on boot.

Subject: Instance deletion

Fellow DBA'ers,

Fairly new to the oracle world ( several months under my belt ). I
have a user who does not need an instance anymore.
I want to stop it from trying to come up whenever the server is bounced.
Is there a parameter in the
pfile or spfile that can take care of this ? Or am I way off base ?

george
