The syntax, preserving ownership and timestamps, from the local host is
simple. Much like cp, expect you have to name the remote host. You may have
to supply the remote user's password, depending on how ssh is configured.
scp -p filename1 remotehost:directory
Having the system administrator configure the server keys is the only
confusing part.
