You can use it on Unix/Linux as well. You may consider setting it in the
environment (.profile/.bash_prifle) and startup files.
Thanks!

Subject: TNS_ADMIN
Hi all,
Can I use the TNS_ADMIN variable for UNIX like how I am currently using it
on Windows? In short, on Windows I am setting the TNS_ADMIN variable to
point to TNSNAMES.ORA file that is accessible via the network. Is this
variable for Windows only or can I use it on UNIX as well?
