Hello All
When they installed Discoverer they did it under the APPS user - so all
Discoverer objects are now owned by APPS. I fear this was not the
correct thing to do. Each time users need to do various activities in
Discoverer they are needing the full APPS access.
I am the DBA here, but have little knowledge of Discoverer and am now
questioning if the Discoverer installation was done correctly in the
first place.
They are trying to correct things now by creating a new user and
thousands of synonyms to all APPS objects so they can run queries on
them without logging is as APPS.
Do you have any comments.
Also - related to the above - how can I easily create a QUERY ONLY user
(no update rights) that can access all the tables, views etc that APPS
can?
Many thanks for your time.
