Hi all:

Is there anyone working with Cognos? We are converting our front end from
Microstrategy to Cognos. And we
are being told that Cognos does not like seeing different tables with
identical fields. For example, we have
two tables with identical layout. One table has daily information , while
another has an info at the end of month.
Cognos says that we should only have one table(DLY?) and use MVs to have
Oracle rewrite the queries when needed
to use the monthly table.

If someone out there has had experience with Cognos, is that correct or is
there a way to have both tables
accessed by cognos?
